Willie’s Reserve Chicken N’ Waffles
Encycloweedia Bricannabis is baking into Willie Nelson’s own stash this review with Chicken and Waffles, an indica marijuana strain from Willie’s Reserve, grown in Missouri by Agri-Genesis. I’d been wondering Willie or won’t he bring his cannabis company to the Show-Me State for years. You can bet my face lit up when I heard Willie’s Reserve would be at my nearest dispensary. Deciding on which strain to bring home was hard. They all were singing, “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me!” On top of that, I can’t think of Willie Nelson without also thinking about cannabis, and each of his strains looked delicious! In the end I left with a cannabis cultivar that cultivated a craving for Chicken and Waffles, both flower and food.
I bought a jar and “Busted” it open to be gweeded with a sweetly sour scent of citrus and pine. Chunky buds covered in trichomes glistened when I shone a light on them. The sticky crystals looked like piles of snow in places, and I wanted to hit the slopes. Breaking the flower apart by hand released a peppery bite in the aroma, and grinding it down hid most of the sweetness behind this spicy scent. Just pulling a nugget of Chicken and Waffles apart coated my fingers with a stickiness similar to what they’d experience after a breakfast by the same name. The smoke rolled off my tongue full of the pepper flavor with a sweet herby tail.
I normally save indica strains for the evening, but opted for a big breakfast of Chicken and Waffles, paired with coffee and a raspberry danish. Heavy relaxation settled into my body and limbs, and I was happy to sit there and do nothing, much like I’d filled up on an actual plate. My forehead seemed to increasingly weigh more and the haze stuck with me throughout the day. I was yawning by lunch, but only felt slightly slowed and ready for another helping in the afternoon. Although, a nap was “Always on My Mind” after that point. Even though I was dealing with some stress over my car breaking down I saw nothing but “Blue Skies” thanks to Willie’s Reserve cannabis. I was singing with the “Red Headed Stranger” about how I can’t wait to be “On the Road Again” with my “Hands on the Wheel.” I couldn’t find any solid information on the terpene profile of this strain, but I’d put odds on caryophyllene being weedsponsible for the peppery kick that seasoned my Chicken and Waffles. Indicase you’re wondering, I highly approve of this strain and the body relaxation it brings.
Joking and Toking:
What song does Willie Nelson sing to dirt before planting his cannabis?
